>    The best time to transit this area early spring, as we did (late May), but it will be cold at night, or August and September for best weather.  June and July have more fog days than in spring and late summer.

>    A great weather protected place to stop in Halifax is far up the west arm to the Armdale Yacht Club.  Here you can refuel, regroup, and relax.  The people are very helpful and friendly.  You can take a walk and only 10 minutes away you will find the Binacle Marine store for a good selection of parts and supplies.  Another 10 minute walk and you will find a shopping area with a Sobey’s grocery store for provisioning.
